To support your evaluation of PC Locs security
solutions, it may be helpful to read some of
the comments that we have received. This
feedback will help you decide which laptop
trolley or other ICT security product best suits your unique
situation.
"The design of the trolleys
is essential to make for a successful shared laptop
program for those schools that don’t want
to go down the 1 to 1 laptop route. The mobile
trolley in various sizes, I think, is the way
to go. Unless you have this fully integrated solution
with the charging, the storage, the ease of use
and portability, it really doesn’t work.
I’ve seen schools that have cupboards full
of things. At the end of everyday somebody has
to go and sort them all out, plug them all in,
charge them all up. The trolley seems to take
care of that in a pretty seamless way.”

"The notebook trolleys
provided by PC Locs are a fantastic tool for us
because it allows us the mobility to move the
program if you like, the educational program either
within a community, between communities or as
you have seen this afternoon even outside.”

“At Sacred Heart College we have found the
trolleys to be of great benefit in giving us flexibility
to moving computers to where they are needed in
particular classrooms rather than having to bring
the students to designated computer areas. We
have also found an additional benefit of the trolley is that it provides a
very efficient way of storing the laptops, whilst
they are in storage with the power facilities,
there they can be left on charge ready to be taken
out whenever required.”

Heart College, Western Australia

“The iRoller trolley
performed remarkably well when it was vandalised
in an after hours incident. It looks as though
this person attacked the trolley with a large
crowbar. Even though this heavy-duty implement
was used a relatively small amount of damage was
inflicted on the trolley and subsequently the
would-be thief left empty handed. He did however
resort to breaking into an office which does have
keys to open the locks, but he must have been
interrupted before he/she got to the keys. This
has proven to me that our investment in the high
roller was a worthwhile investment.”

"At
Henley High School we have used PC Locs
to solve security issues in our computer laboratories
for a number of years. I would like to comment
especially on the data projector trolley that
we purchased earlier this year. It is one of the
best decisions that we have made. In the last
two years we had “lost” three projectors.
Now we have a projector that is mobile and used
in teaching areas all over the school and we can
be confident that is always secure. Teachers comment
on how versatile it is, easily transported and
quickly connected to any PC.”

“We had several break-ins to our Computer
Lab in the past months. When the thieves discovered
the locks they left immediately, empty handed.
We have not had a computer stolen from our school
since securing them with PC Locs.”

“Since the installation
of the locking system by PC Locs we have had no
loss of any computing equipment though the break-ins
are still occurring, to a much lesser extent as
the thieves can no longer get the equipment they
want. PC Locs
has been an invaluable acquisition at Belmay.”

Acting Principal

“PC Locs were our first
choice in the search for anti theft solutions.
Ballajura Community College had previously contracted
PC Locs to secure nearly 400 workstations together
with a range of peripheral devices. We entrusted
PC Locs with the security of over $100,000 worth
of equipment…they established and maintained
a highly professional level of engagement with
our College and consistently provided an exceptional
standard of on site and follow up service…"
