PC Locs
is a West Australian company that specialises in multifunctional physical
security solutions for ICT assets ranging from notebook
trolleys and laptop wall cages to secure flat screen
trolleys, desktop lock-down kits and laptop lockers. The PC Locs
security solutions are
widely used in the Australian education sector as well as in
government and corporate settings.
PC Locs
was founded by Paul Symons and his business partner Craig
Wright in 1998. Being a high school teacher, Paul realised
that schools and other educational facilities were in need
of physical security solutions for their IT assets, since
computers, audio-visual equipment and other IT hardware were
commonly the target for burglars.
Acting on his insight, Paul developed a prototype of a
desktop computer lock-down system for one of the schools he
taught at. Due to the success of this prototype and the
market demand for desktop security products, Paul left
teaching and developed an entire range of desktop locking
devices, giving birth to the company PC Locs Pty Ltd.
PC
Locs quickly became a well recognised brand name throughout
the West Australian education system. With the increased use
of notebook computers for teaching, the PC Locs product
range was expanded to include secure and versatile laptop
trolleys which provide teachers with a secure, flexible,
convenient and practical way of working with entire banks of
laptops in any part of the school they are needed in.
With
PC Locs products being used in most West Australian schools,
PC Locs focussed on its national expansion. As Sales and
Marketing Manager, Paul's son James Symons created the PC
Locs Accredited Reseller Program in 2005 to extend the
company's reach and customer service in Australia's Eastern
states.
With
Paul continuing to be the main driver of product development
and innovation, and with James at the helm of the company as
CEO, PC Locs is poised to continue its rapid growth in
Australia and explore overseas markets. |
